What to expect before, during and after a session — including the practical things people are too polite to ask.
How long does a photoshoot take?
A portrait session runs two to three hours. A full brand day covering portraits, team and environment takes most of a working day. We plan around your schedule so the disruption to normal work stays contained.
What should we wear?
Clothes you would genuinely wear to meet a client, in solid colours that sit well against your brand palette. We send a short preparation note beforehand — deliberately practical rather than prescriptive, because people photograph best when they feel like themselves.
How many images do we receive, and in what format?
A selected, retouched set delivered in both web-optimised and print-ready versions, cropped to the ratios your channels actually need. The count depends on the session, and we agree a minimum in advance rather than leaving it open.
Do we own the photographs?
You receive a full commercial licence for your own marketing — web, social, print and advertising — with no time limit. We ask only for permission to show selected frames in our own portfolio, and you are free to decline that.
Can you shoot at our office instead of a studio?
Usually yes, and it is often the better choice: a real environment says more about a business than a plain backdrop. We scout the space for light and angles beforehand and bring lighting to fill whatever the room does not give us.
What if someone is uncomfortable in front of the camera?
Most people are, and that is entirely normal. We direct rather than leave you to pose, work in short bursts with breaks, and shoot enough frames that the relaxed moments in between are usually the ones we keep.
